And if you're ready, now let's go to the process:

1. Go to the official Sagrada Familia website

Start at the official Sagrada Familia website and select Tickets.
This is worth checking carefully, since you’ll find plenty of third-party ticket websites when searching online.
For this walkthrough, we’re booking directly with Sagrada Familia.

2. Choose your ticket

You’ll see several different ways to visit the Basilica.
If you simply want admission without adding a guided tour or tower, choose the standard option called Sagrada Família.
If you want a guided tour, tower access, or both, select the corresponding ticket instead.

3. Select your date and entry time

Next, choose the day you want to visit.
Some dates or time slots may already be unavailable, especially during busy periods, so it’s a good idea to book once your Barcelona plans are confirmed.
After choosing the date, select your preferred entry time.
Remember: Sagrada Familia tickets use timed entry, so choose a slot that fits comfortably into your itinerary.

4. Choose the visitor category

Now select how many people are visiting and the correct ticket category for each person.
Depending on the visitor, discounted or free categories may be available.
If you select one of them, check the requirements carefully and make sure you can provide any necessary proof when you visit.

5. Enter the visitor details

You’ll then be asked for the details of the person using the ticket.
Use the real information of the actual visitor.
This is something worth taking seriously. When I visited using a resident ticket, my identification was checked at the entrance to confirm that I qualified for the ticket I had purchased.
So if your ticket requires identification or proof of eligibility, bring it with you.

6. Add your contact details

Enter your contact information and double-check your email address.
Your booking confirmation and ticket will be sent there, so this is definitely not the field where you want a typo.

7. Check the total and pay

Before paying, take a few seconds to review:
  • Your visit date
  • Entry time
  • Ticket type
  • Visitor information
  • Total price
If everything looks right, choose the available payment method and complete the payment.

8. Check your email

Once the payment is approved, you should receive your booking confirmation and ticket by email.
Save the ticket to your phone before your visit so you don’t need to depend on mobile internet when you arrive.
And that’s it! You’re booked.
